Essential Human Skills in the Age of AI:

The rapid progress in AI research and the surge in AI tools means that the characteristics of work that are distinctively human – those connected with our capacity to care – will be more important than ever. Those who harness and refine this human touch will be more valuable than ever.

We’ll discuss how effective action is rooted in effective conversations and how the quality of these conversations depends upon our skills for listening to concerns, commitments, and moods.

Examples of skills needed to thrive:

  • The capacity to listen to concerns and what matters, beyond the dominant tendency to listen for “information”
  • The skills for exploring moods and assessments with colleagues, managers, and clients
  • The ability to navigate situations where people have divergent interpretations of what is possible
  • The skills for coordinating and renegotiating commitments in conversation
  • The sensibilities for appreciating the domain of what is unknown, anomalous, and mysterious

What to expect from the webinar

  • Exploration of the Human Skills Needed to Thrive in the Age of Generative AI. We will review and discuss each of the skills and abilities listed above.
  • Investigation into the Human Factor in Work: The human capacity to care can be both amplified and diminished by the reliance on AI tools. For succeeding in today’s environment, it is essential to see how.

  • Interactive Q&A: Engage with the speakers and other participants in an interactive Q&A session to address your specific challenges and questions related to the impact of AI on today’s work.
